Uwe Drost

Uwe Drost is founder and owner of the firm D&K drost consult. Originally practicing in the architectural firm Drost + Klose with his partner Joachim Klose, Uwe Drost soon specialised in the management of urban design and architecture competition. After establishing his own practice under the logo D&K in 1998, he focused on providing client support in competitions and selection procedures. Since 2006, the company has been operating under the name of D&K drost consult.
In his consultation with clients Uwe Drost falls back on 13 years of experience in academic design teaching. He has taught at the University of Technology, Building and Design Wismar, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. During his eight-year stay in the United States of America he taught at University of Maryland, Texas Tech University and at Syracuse University. He was involved in several architects’ partnerships and served as chairman of the IAAS, Institute for Advanced Architectural Studies.
Uwe Drost is a registered architect with the Hamburg Chamber of Architects and the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects.
